May 14, 2024: Free & Low-Cost Ways to Keep your Mac Safe & Secure

Please Note: Due to unforseen last-minute issues, the Hazel presentation scheduled for this month has been postponed. Please join us for a new topic.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. — so that we may start on time, please arrive at least 5 minutes before the meeting begins.

Did you know that macOS has built-in features to keep your Mac secure, most of which operate behind the scenes? PMUG President Aric Pedersen will show us the many ways Apple protects your Mac, and its information. He will also show free software, low-cost software, and settings you can use to up your security game.

We’ll also be giving away one copy of Pareto Security Auditor software. If you have any Apple product-related security questions, Aric will be happy to answer them.

We hope you will join us for PMUG’s Mac security night.

The meeting will be held online through Zoom — members should check their e-mail for instructions on how to connect and attend. We hope you can join us. A limited number of non-member audience “seats” at our Zoom meeting are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you wish to attend, please e-mail pres@pmug-nj.org, and include your full name to receive an invitation with connection information.
