When PMUG’s Terry Wilson said goodbye to QuarkXPress after retiring from a career in graphic arts, she still found the need to create printed materials for personal use. Moving to Apple’s Pages gave her a reason to ditch an aging Word app, soon followed by Apple’s Numbers replacing Excel of the same vintage.

Pages has matured into a competent word processing and page layout application, and Numbers organizes data just fine, with a more intuitive interface. Terry’s presentation will demonstrate how these Apple applications are competent replacements for the two Office apps, and even page layout software.

The meeting will be held online through Zoom — members should check their e-mail for instructions on how to connect and attend. Our friends from the Main Line Mac Users Group will also be with us. We hope you can join us.

A limited number of non-member audience “seats” at our Zoom meeting are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you wish to attend, please e-mail pres@pmug-nj.org, and include your full name to receive an invitation with connection information.

About the Presenter
Terry Wilson is a 30+ year member of PMUG, and a past editor of its DIALOG newsletter. Moving back to California in 2011, Covid has paved the way for reconnecting with her NJ groups, so she’ll be joining us once again for the first time in well over 10 years. Although Terry can’t attend the holiday parties in person any more, her Website, WhosBringingWhat.com, still manages the potluck. Terry’s main Website can be visited at terryfic.com.
