Gary Rosenzweig, host and producer of the MacMost YouTube Channel and Podcast, will talk on the new features coming soon in macOS 11.1.

Its Focus feature will allow you to customize Do Not Disturb settings. Quick Notes is a fast way to start a note. Tags in Reminders and Notes will allow you to add tags to items so you can find them later and organize. Safari’s toolbar has a new look including Tab Groups. In Photos there is Live Text.

Another big new feature is Shortcuts, an app that adds another way to automate things on the Mac. It syncs with iCloud to your iOS devices, so some Shortcuts are even cross-platform.

Be sure to join Gary at PMUG’s September meeting to learn more about Apple’s new operating system, and have your questions answered.

The meeting will be held online through Zoom — members should check their e-mail for instructions on how to connect and attend. Our friends from the Main Line Mac Users Group will also be with us. We hope you can join us.

A limited number of non-member audience “seats” at our Zoom meeting are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you wish to attend, please e-mail pres@pmug-nj.org, and include your full name to receive an invitation with connection information.
