Did you receive or buy a new Mac or iPhone over the holidays? Maybe you’re coming from an existing older Mac which was not upgradable to the current MacOS? Today’s operating system will seem both familiar and new — a lot has changed! Or, maybe you’ve just upgraded to a new iPhone or are thinking of upgrading.

There are many things to consider, from transferring your data and files over, to adjusting settings to make your new device work to what you’re accustomed to. Will your existing printer still work? How about your monitor? What about your existing programs? Are your cables even physically compatible? What about moving over your phone contacts and Web browser bookmarks? There are also new settings, features, and considerations to be aware of.

This month PMUG President Aric Pedersen will talk about the considerations both before and after you use your new Apple device.

We hope you will join us!

The meeting will be held online through Zoom — members should check their e-mail for instructions on how to connect and attend. We hope you can join us. A limited number of non-member audience “seats” at our Zoom meeting are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you wish to attend, please e-mail pres @ pmug-nj.org, and include your full name to receive an invitation with connection information.
