September 9, 2025: macOS 26 Tahoe and Virtual Buddy

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. — so that we may start on time, please arrive at least 5 minutes before the meeting begins.

This month, PMUG President Aric Pedersen will demonstrate macOS Tahoe, Apple’s latest operating system which comes packed with new features including:

  • Liquid Glass Design: A fresh, translucent interface that adds depth and elegance across the OS
  • Control Center Pages: A fully customizable settings panel that lets you toggle through several pages to quickly activate features
  • iOS Apps: the Phone, Preview, Journal, and Magnifier APPs now run on the Mac
  • Privacy Dashboard: Receive real-time insight into app permissions and data usage

In addition, Aric will demonstrate VirtualBuddy virtualization software to contain and test a new operating system — like the preview version of macOS Tahoe — without installing it as your Mac’s main operating system.

We hope you’ll join our meeting for a sneak peek to discover what Tahoe offers before it’s released this fall.

The meeting will be held online through Zoom — members should check their e-mail for instructions on how to connect and attend. We hope you can join us. A limited number of non-member audience “seats” at our Zoom meeting are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you wish to attend, please e-mail pres @ pmug-nj.org, and include your full name to receive an invitation with connection information.
