#Overview#
Ten years ago those people who had networks in their homes were considered fringe geeks and gluttons for punishment. Nowadays, however, home networks are as common as cable television and dishwashers, but they can still be a source of frustration for many, especially to do it right! With that, Dave Hamilton — someone who *was* a fringe geek and *has* gone through all the punishment — will teach you all the tips and tricks he has learned over the past decade (or more) so you can get this stuff to work just right in your house. Topics covered will include simple network setup, extending a network in your home, when to use wired or wireless, the benefits (and pitfalls) of 5Ghz, and some Cool Stuff Found to make life just a little bit easier (or at least more fun!). Come join us on this hour-long, action-packed journey of networking, and leave secure in the knowledge that you’ll be doing it *right* at home from now on.

So true! About 12 years ago, we were one of the first to get cable internet and a home network. Not many were eager to jump on the bandwagon at that time! Nowadays, almost everyone has broadband with one or more computers and now tablets and smart phones. Wi-fi is a must! Thanks!
